How To Book

In the first instance, we will need to agree on a date. Once that has been set, the full balance along with  acceptance of the conditions of contract (as laid out here) will secure the session.

On The Day

We will begin the session at a scheduled start time and continue until an agreed end time or until we are happy with the range of images taken, although this may exceed the agreed end time.

We don’t accept responsibility for any images that are not taken due to any delays through out the day (e.g client running late).

We will always aim to exceed your expectations but again we can’t take responsibility for unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances which impact our ability to capture all the photographs you have requested.

Copyright

We own all photographs taken by us. You have the right to use or share any of the images as you see fit but  the images cannot be used for commercial gain. The images supplied will be under license and the copyright is never available for purchase.

How We Store Your Data During Your Session

Since the introduction of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) every client has the right to know where images from their portrait sessions get used, how they are used, where they are stored, the length of time they are stored for and what happens once you have recieved them.

We capture photographs on either two or four cameras depending on how may photographers have been booked. This means we use between 2 – 8 SD memory cards which are generally backed up as soon as the session is completed.

GDPR:

How We Store Your Data After The Session

During the editing process, your images are stored on two separate drives, one hard drive and one cloud drive. This is to protect your images and our work in the case of theft of the physical hard drive and or loss (e.g fire). Once the editing process is complete your images will be converted to JPEG then a) uploaded to a new folder within the same master folder as the RAW images from your day located on both hard drive and cloud and b) uploaded to Pixieset. You will be sent a link along with a download PIN and PASSWORD to access your online gallery.

Your Pixieset gallery will be deleted 6 weeks after the link is sent to you.  If there are any issues with any images then you must contact us with 1 month of receiving your images. We do not send RAW unedited images to clients and RAW files from your wedding day will be retained for 24 months.

If you have opted for prints then we will send your images to our printer for the sole purpose of creating your albums.

Initial website enquiries don’t contain any personal information except names and location information. No data stored electronically is used for marketing purposes.

What To Wear

We would prefer you to wear what ever you feel most comfortable with. If you are comfortable then your images will be more natural and that really is the aim. We tend to recommend neutrals and pastels & suggest to avoid anything with overbearing logos and loud motifs. For a couples or family sessions our general advice is to aim for similar colour palettes and try to co-ordinate but not be too matchy.

We will likely want to get some gorgeous images of you both holding hands so can suggest to make sure your nails are either kept natural or if they are painted that your nail varnish isn’t chipped. Nails often get forgotten, and whilst we’re by no means recommending a full on manicure we just don’t want chipped nail varnish or dry hands to let the team down!

It’s really up to you both but here are some suggestions:

·       wear solid coloured clothing or if you are going to wear a pattern perhaps just either tops OR bottoms – not head to toe in a pattern

·       please try to avoid all black or all very dark colours as  it can be very hard to define shape when couples are wearing all black or very dark colours from head to toe

·       choose dark socks and footwear or if you are opting for sandals don’t forget to moisturise those feet and toes!

For maternity sessions soft, floaty, neutral clothes in neutral tones or pastels can work really well and compliment our light and luminous style of photography. This style of dress can also beautifully enhance your bump – equally a body skimming dress can also accentuate your  bump – the main thing is that you dress in a way that makes you feel as confident, beautiful and as downright lovely as every pregnant woman deserves to feel.

These are all just suggestions and the main thing is to feel comfortable and wear something that you will still want to see yourself wearing when you look back in the decades to come.
